Hi all. I've been thinking about running a Ravenloft campaign using the Pathfinder system (which is almost the same as 3.5) on a bi-weekly basis for a while, but before I can do that I'd like to get the measure of those people who would be interested in playing in it. Thus, both as a way to give me an idea as to whom I'm playing with and as to give you an idea as to what type of person I am, I would like to run a one-shot Pathfinder custom adventure based in Eberron. The following rules for character creation apply:

-You will be using the point purchase method, with 20 points to spend as you will.
-I will /not/allow changelings or kalashtar. I repeat: I WILL NOT ALLOW CHANGELINGS OR KALASHTAR.
-Warforged PC's must be presented to me with the expectation of me saying "No." Because I am aware of how you can break a Warforged.
-All other race choices are valid, within reason.
-No attribute score may be over 17, including racial modifiers.
-You will be starting at level 2, make the necessary adjustments. I will provide you with your exact exp point total the day of the game.
-When in doubt, use common sense. Be sure to seek my blessing though.

The adventure will revolve around a mercenary group of fighters being hired to escort members of one of the dragonmarked houses from the capital city of Korth to Atur. In that spirit I would very strongly suggest that anyone choosing to partake create a fighter of level 2, as that will maximize the story's impact on both you and me.

A few things about myself as a DM:

-I am not here to kill you or get some kind of sadistic pleasure out of seeing you squirm. My role as I see it is to provide you with a challenge, even a significant challenge, but nothing insurmountable.
-Conversely you should endeavor not to see me as the enemy. This is not a competition, never was and never will be.
-Making my life difficult (i.e arguing about rules, being disruptive, twinking your butt off, being annoying, amongst many other things) is not in your best interest. It could even be said that it is the best way for you to never see me again or to make your life proportionately difficult.
-I am here for my entertainment as well. Take that away from me and I am not here, both in the literal and metaphorical way.

I'm enjoying the Pathfinder rules and Ravenloft and I go back a looong time, so a Ravenloft game using Pathfinder certainly has my interest. Eberron, not so much.
