So I just realized i don't have an RPGA Character. How bad is this? Where do I get one? Do I have to pass the RPGA test? (cause I sucked at that!)
Thanks for any help you could provide. |

Haha, its not a problem. You can make an rpga character. It uses the 28 point buy system as described in the DMG for stats. There are some restrictions, which you can find online. You do need an rpga membership but it costs nothing and doesnt require you to take any tests. To become a member you simply sign up at the event you wish to play at and bring a character. The DM might have preconstructed characters for you if you dont want to make your own. You can take a test to become a DM, but that isnt needed.

Excellent cause I would like to play in an RPGA event, but I see that some of them are for Characters leveled 6 to 11 at which point, I'd have to take a character from 1st through (insert number somewhere between 6 and 11 here). Perhaps the next RPGA meetup we have I'll ask the DM if he/she has precons.
Thanks Kaze! Amp |

Not a problem in fact here is a link to a bunch of Pre cons offered by the wizards site. As always you are free to tinker with them within the limits of RPGA.
http://www.wizards.co... Unfortunately, the only way to get a level 6 character is to level it up. I assume the games you are referring to are those that are being held by scholars rpga up in Mass. Try to contact Don Walker with you concerns; he is one of the main event creators for the place. Whenever, there is enough interest he runs low level campaigns as well. Even the people with level 6-11 characters like to start out anew on occasion so its always worth a shot. Also, for more local rpga info you can check out the yahoo groups they have... http://games.groups.y... http://www.geocities.... http://games.groups.y... http://hobbes.viceand... Those are the Major RPGA sites for this area. Other than that is, of course, this meetup site. Hope this flood of info helps, Kaze |
