Long-time gamer that has been on a bit of hiatus the past couple years looking to get back into "it" after moving out to New England from Calif. I have to justify lugging all these boxes out to the missus. ;-)
D&D 3.x or older (rather fond of 2E), Star Wars RPG (Saga back to WEG's d6 rules), Blood Bowl, Fading Suns, MtG, and even Pokemon with the kids.
Rolled my first d12 in Feb. '83.
Cardinals beating the Eagles to go to the Super Bowl. Otherwise, AD&D 2E was the most conducisive system to my DMing style of story/character driven games where the metagame was secondary.
Battle of the Sexes was a stupid game and never improved with additional adult beverages. RPG-wise....Alternity?

"Howdy Greg, I'm enjoying the Pathfinder rules and Ravenloft and I go back a looong time, so a Ravenloft game using Pathfinder certainly has my interest. Eberron, not so much...."
"I'm not sure how far you want to go but, a Werewolf game is starting up in Central MA and I'm looking to get a D&D (3.5/3.75) group going again in Whitinsville/Northbridge (~30 minutes from Greenville). Sunday is the day of choice as well...."
"When do you play on Thursdays?"
"After being the control freak, er, GM, for 20+ years I'm ready to interact with the story rather than spin it for a change. Doesn't mean the creative juices won't get going again, there's just a thick layer of dust on the RPG side of my brain...."
"I'm in! Smithfield isn't too far away from me in Whitinsville (~25 minutes). I too have been out of the tabletop loop for a couple of years now, and 3.5E or older is preferable (though I'd like to give Pathfinder a try)...."
"No clue on the 4E parallels. As for 3E wizards vs. sorcerers, yes, it's similar. Many of my 2E table rules ended up in some form in the 3E rule set which was part of it's allure...."
"LOL, so my aluminum foil wads are good to go? "Lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt." Thanks for the info!"
