Chill RPG "A Little Room"

Chill is a horror RPG from the 80's and early nineties. Its percentile-based system is easy to learn and fun to play. The game was one of the first horror-themed RPGs and focuses on investigation and wits alongside combat to fight the evil monster(s) from the unknown. Players portray envoys working for the organization SAVE, which stands for Societas Argenti Viae Eternitata or The Eternal Society of the Silver Way. This secret organization is dedicated to protecting the world from the evil creatures that have leaked their way in from another dimension or world SAVE calls THE UNKNOWN. A letter from SAVE Headquarters in Toronto sends you on a unique mission to confront the "Overlook Ghost." For more than 150 years, this creature has appeared on the night of July 19/20 in the Overlook Room of McClellan Manor in the small town of Bannockburn, Ontario. Any person in the room at any time on that night dies, horribly and mysteriously. SAVE believes this creature can be destroyed if someone survives the night of July 19/20 in the Overlook Room. Your mission is to investigate the creature and then, boldly risking your lives, spend the night in the Overlook Room. Is SAVE correct in destroying the Overlook Ghost by spending the night? Could there be other ways of dealing with the Overlook Ghost? Do you dare find out?! Characters are provided. Please bring dice and a pencil. 5 Player Max 3 Player Min Without 3 this meetup will not take place.

Eric is there room? I might try to join you.

Game on! is ok with it? Is there a charge? Usually, if they are ok with gaming, there is a charge right?

If you guys have room for another player then I wouldn't mind getting in on some Chill RPG action. Been a while since I've played that game.

Dennis T, if you mean how long is the module is then it'll run to 10pm, maybe a little over depending on how quick we start. Let me know if you are still in, please.

Oh, Doug. I believe there is no charge. They only seem to charge for D&D Encounters meetups.

Isaac 2nd Edition Chill. Mayfair version. Sean I'm at my max of players. As it is I'm squeezing someone else in. Sorry, there should be a limit on this for 5 players to rsvp.
I hope I don't turn you away and then somebody doesn't show.

Isaac, you know 1st and 2nd edition Chill!!! Wow!! I want to pick your mind. Yes please brush up on the rules, I haven't run Chill in some time and you can read the rules over and over, but playing it is the only way to really get the rules down. So, tomorrow if I'm doing something incorrect feel free to remind me of any rules in the book.

Thank you everyone that showed. You all are great players and cool guys.
Since this was a success I am planning on running a Castles & Crusades module soon. C&C is like D&D 3.5 lite. Follow this link of my TempleCon post for info about the module and also click on the link to the C&C quick start guide. It has character gen rules in there for most of the classes C&C uses. If u r interested let me know. Maybe we could get this same group together. t

Great game, great GM, great time. I love the style of the game and the game mechanics made it very fun to play. I hope we play it again soon.

It was a blast! Met some good people and had some laughs. It was very nostalgic being able to play Chill again. No complaints here.
